Our Services
Boarding Mares
We take broodmares for foaling, temporary boarding to walk into stallions during the season, and also have a good number of permanent boarding mares. Walk-out mares are teased, vetted, and ready for covering before being transported to the stallion, using our own vehicle, which means we ensure your mare is covered at the optimum time.
Spelling Racehorses
Rosetown Stud provides ideal facilities for taking care of and rehabilitating racehorses. We have taken care of many top racehorses, including Cheltenham winners Tranquil Sea and Ninetieth Minute, during their rest periods.
Foaling
We have 24-hour monitoring including a night watchman and a modern camera system so the mares can be monitored around the clock. Our experienced staff work closely with our team of vets from Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital. We have large stables that are used for foaling. Foals are well-handled from the start and will be routinely vaccinated and microchipped in preparation for registration. Necessary veterinary checks and remedial farrier work will also be performed in consultation with you accordingly.
Sales Preparation
At Baroda Stud we pride ourselves on providing the best possible preparation for horses going to the sales. We prefer to prepare the horses for sale at our studs, a historic farm with 450 acres in the heart of Ireland’s Thoroughbred County.
Our eight-week yearling sales preparation program is informed by international study and years of experience and is designed to ensure that each horse arrives at the sale in brilliant shape, ready to perform to the best of its ability. We treat each horse as an individual and know that routine is essential for horses to thrive and grow.
From cutting-edge nutritional advice to the best staff in the business, Baroda Stud’s pursuit of excellence in sales preparation is unstinting, benefiting your horses and allowing you to achieve your sales ambitions.
Young Stock
Our well-maintained, spacious facilities and fenced paddocks allow for the development and boarding of young stock. Yearlings can be stabled over the Winter months or rugged and left to graze. Sale horses can be prepared for all sales.
Veterinary Services
There is a wealth of very experienced vets nearby, including Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital. They have a strong record of getting difficult mares in foal.
Soil Information

It provides prime arable and grazing land and has a reputation as some of the finest soil in the county. Rosetown Stud is adjacent to the River Liffey, paddocks that were historically subject to flooding were enriched with mineral-rich sediment from the river. These minerals subsequently promote the development of young horses.
