David Cox

Passionate About Horses And Racing, David Cox Was An All-Round Sportsman In His Youth With Hunting, Racing, And Rugby Dominating His Sporting Passions.

He also donned racing silks to compete in the famous Punchestown Charity Race which annually raises enormous funds for Kidney research in Ireland.

Prior to his family’s purchase of historic Baroda Stud in 2006, David enjoyed a successful spell as captain of Carlow Rugby Club during their stint in Division One of the All-Ireland League. Professional stars still played alongside their amateur teammates when the dictates of international and provincial rugby allowed, with Irish legends including Ronan O’Gara, Paul O’Connell, and Donnacha O’Callaghan among some of the superstars he played against during his rugby days.

  • Padraic Gahan

    Padraic has spent the past decade building up a vast array of knowledge and experience in the racing and breeding industry globally, before joining the Baroda team in 2021 where his focus is on developing and enhancing Baroda Stud Consigning.

    His dedication and attention to detail ensures that our clients receive the highest quality service.Upon graduating from UCD in 2014 with a Bachelor of Commerce, Padraic who is from Baltinglass in Wicklow, embarked upon his career in the thoroughbred industry. His first position was at Coolmore’s renowned Kentucky farm of Ashford before he expanded his horizons even further. Travelling to Australia, he worked for Melbourne trainer Robert Smerdon before taking up a position as communications coordinator with Aushorse. Returning to Europe, he began working for Goffs as a bloodstock executive and it was in that role he thrived, developing a reputation for diligence, approachability and knowledge.

  • Brian Delahunt

    Brian’s unparalleled dedication to the horses in his care was recognised by the racing and breeding industry when he received the Irish Racing Excellence Award at the 2022 Irish Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards.

    From North Kildare, Brian grew up on his family’s farm and has worked in the bloodstock industry for all of his adult life when his initial dreams of becoming a jockey were thwarted as he grew. Brian is Baroda’s Stud Groom and has been an integral member of the team for 12 years, having joined from Tipper House Stud, where he held that position for 19 years. His passion for the horses in his care is matched only by his dedication to helping the younger members of staff develop their skills and careers, teaching them as patiently as he does the young racehorses in his care.
